“Deadwood” - the report, not the HBO series

February 28, 2008 · No Comments

Apparently, the “Deadwood Report” is coming and it’s all the rage in the legal blog world. Basically, Green Bag is going to law schools’ websites and collecting information on faculty activities, such as research, teaching and service. It’s emphasis will be on recent activity rather than activity from older times (i.e. “what have you done for me lately”). This emphasis is ostensibly designed to provide students and potential students with better information on the current quality of a law school’s faculty. There is a Green Bag paper on the topic here and an Inside Higher Education article here. Further, there is plenty of discussion on the coming report on the legal blogs, including Nancy Rapoport’s Blog, PrawfsBlawg, Out of the Jungle, Leiter’s Law School Report, and Law School Innovation, among others.
