We do not anticipate the need for too many blog policies in the near future, at least not until our traffic reaches a critical mass. However, there are a few things that we wanted to highlight up front.
First, the views expressed in any given post (or comments) are solely those of the author and do not reflect the views of anyone else (e.g. other editors, blog participants, or our employers).
Second, we do require that blog readers register with the blog in order to participate (i.e. leave comments). It only takes a minute and it has been our experience that people are more careful with their words when they sign their name to them. Generally, comments must be civil and relevant. We will moderate comments and delete those that do not meet these criteria and we reserve the right to exercise a good amount of discretion in this regard. Our blog = our rules.
